系统需求

Xfce 运行于 80 多个 UNIX-like 发行版. Below is a short list of the distributions that use Xfce as their primary, default Desktop Environment(DE) as well as their minimum system requirements for installation.

Xubuntu:

Xubuntu 是一个社区开发的，基于Ubuntu的Linux操作系统。它的最低要求是：

• CPU: 500Mhz+
• 内存: 256MiB+ （Desktop/LiveCD版） - 推荐 512MiB
• 磁盘空间: 5GB
• 显卡和分辨率为800×600显示器

Kwort

Kwort 是一个基于 slackware 的操作系统，亮点是 Xfce4 桌面，带有 Kwort 自己的网络管理器和 kpkg 软件包管理器。其最小系统需求为:

• CPU: PC i686 或以上。
• 内存：16 M 用于基本系统(最少)。32 M 用于桌面(最少)，推荐 64Mb。
• 磁盘空间：200 M 用于基本系统，1.5 G 用于完整的桌面(包含 Openoffice 2.0)

Luit Linux (which uses Xfce)

Luit Linux “is a small bootable live CD distribution based on KNOPPIX and DamnSmall Linux. Mission is to make a small compact live distribution with tools and applications for day to day needs, without compromising on its looks and feel and ease of use.” Its minimum requirements are:

• CPU: Intel Pentium I
• 内存: 32 Mb

Mythbuntu

Mythbuntu is “an official Ubuntu flavor focused upon setting up a standalone MythTV based PVR system.Mythbuntu uses the XFCE desktop. All unnecessary standard Ubuntu applications such as LibreOffice, Evolution, and a full Gnome desktop are not installed in a default Mythbuntu install” Its minimum requirements are:

• CPU: 1.0 GHz x86 or x86_64 Processor
• 内存: 512 MB 系统内存 (RAM)
• 磁盘空间: 2 GB 磁盘空间 (Frontend Role) / 10GB + 1.5GB/hour for storage of SD material (Backend Role)
• Graphics card capable of 1024×768 resolution (if using VDPAU, 256MB minimum)
• Supported TV Tuner Card (Backend Role)

内存占用

以下内存使用测试是在 OpenSuse 11.4 笔记本和此脚本上获得的。

• Runlevel 3 ： 33 M
• 带 kdm4 登录画面 (且没有已打开的会话) ： 115 M
• TWM 会话 ： 80 M
• IceWM 会话 ： 83 M
• Xfce 4.8 会话 ： 133 M
• KDE 4.6.0 ： 280 M
