Accessibility in Xfce Core 4.10 Roadmap In the next release we want to improve accessibility in the core applications of Xfce. The Gtk+ toolkit already provides most of the required accessibility, but there are a lot of parts of the interface (custom widgets, buttons without label) that are hard to access with a screen reader.

libxfce4ui 4.10 Roadmap [FINISHED] Add a Helper Function for Documentation If xfhelp4 is removed, we need a proper fallback to help applications to open documentation. There is code for that in the panel and terminal that lookup the user language and tries to find the local docs; if not found it will propose to try online on docs.xfce.org.

libxfce4util 4.10 Roadmap [FINISHED] API cleanup Remove unneeded code from the library. This removed ~25% of the .DATA and ~12% .TEXT size from the library. From now on it also only depends on glib (while this was gobject) and because of the abi changes there was a so-name bump.

xfce4-appfinder 4.10 Roadmap The idea is to merge the current appfinder and xfrun4 into 1 application that can do it all; but better. To get this working in a fast way a number of custom tree- and list-models need to be written that all work with the same data, which is all loaded in threads and inserted in idles, to keep the interface responsive.

Xfconf 4.10 Roadmap Maybe the deamon can cleanup channels that haven't been used for a while, but that is not really an issue since basically every opened channel is also used by at least one of the core components. It's not really an option to quit the daemon after a short while since it is commonly connected to user interfaces with the binding, so that might result in slow UI reposiveness.

xfwm4 4.10 Roadmap [DUNO] Allow the Alt-Tab Window to be Themed The folks of the Shimmer Project have been working on mockups for the tabwin (which looks kind of old-school today). It would be nice to look into actually implementing them. Some idas for the drawing maybe can be taken from the brightness notification of xfce4-power-manager.
