==== How to add new apps? ====
**In short:** Just add one (or more) of the above tages (e.g. "email-xfce") to an application on alternativeto.net
| |
=== In more details: ===
| |
- Log in to: http://alternativeto.net/
- Lookup your application on that website or if it does not exist, add it!
- Hover over the wrench icon to make the "Actions" menu appear!
- Click on "Edit Information" button to make the edit page appear!
- Copy the appropriate category name (e.g. email-xfce) from this page and paste it to the "Tags" section in that page!
- Click "Save & Done" botton!
| |
<note>In "Edit Information" page, The tags in the "Tags" section should be separated by commas. I've placed a comma after each category name for you. So if you just copy the whole thing and paste it at the begining of the "Tags" section, you'll be fine.</note> | ===== How to contribute to the lists? ===== |
| Add Xfce as a "custom platform" to an application profile on alternativeto.net |
| |
<note>As soon as the "Edit Information" page opens the focus automatically goes to the beginning of tha "Tags" section. So if you just press Ctrl+V, the tag would be placed in the right place.</note> | In addition to that add an xfce-project __tag__ to the application profile //IF AND ONLY IF// the application is part of the xfce project itself. |
| |
<note>You can add an application to multiple groups. e.g. "Mirage" exists both in image-viewer-xfce and image-editor-xfce groups</note>
