How to add new apps?
In short: Just add one (or more) of the above tages (e.g. “email-xfce”) to an application on alternativeto.net
In more details:
- Log in to: http://alternativeto.net/
- Lookup your application on that website or if it does not exist, add it!
- Hover over the wrench icon to make the “Actions” menu appear!
- Click on “Edit Information” button to make the edit page appear!
- Copy the appropriate category name (e.g. email-xfce) from this page and paste it to the “Tags” section in that page!
- Click “Save & Done” botton!
In “Edit Information” page, The tags in the “Tags” section should be separated by commas. I've placed a comma after each category name for you. So if you just copy the whole thing and paste it at the begining of the “Tags” section, you'll be fine.
As soon as the “Edit Information” page opens the focus automatically goes to the beginning of tha “Tags” section. So if you just press Ctrl+V, the tag would be placed in the right place.
You can add an application to multiple groups. e.g. “Mirage” exists both in image-viewer-xfce and image-editor-xfce groups
