Deprecated panel-plugins

As of the Xfce 4.16 release (late 2020), gtk2 will no longer be supported. As as a result of this change, the following plugins may no longer work with newer releases.

Plugins that do not meet Gtk3 requirements (depend upon using libxfce4panel-1.0)

  • xfce4-embed-plugin
  • xfce4-mailwatch-plugin
  • xfce4-notes-plugin

Plugins that meet Gtk3 requirements but fail to build on 4.16

  • xfce4-calculator-plugin failed
  • xfce4-cpufreq-plugin failed
  • xfce4-cpugraph-plugin failed
  • xfce4-datetime-plugin failed
  • xfce4-diskperf-plugin failed
  • xfce4-genmon-plugin failed
  • xfce4-mount-plugin failed
  • xfce4-smartbookmark-plugin failed
  • xfce4-systemload-plugin failed
  • xfce4-verve-plugin failed
  • xfce4-wavelan-plugin failed
  • xfce4-xkb-plugin failed

Note that this may change in the future if these plugins are updated to use Gtk3+
